Terms of service
Last updated 27 Oct 2026
The agreement between your school and Qynix Limited for using Qyskul, written to be read.
1. This agreement
These terms are an agreement between Qynix Limited (“we”, “us”) and the school, college, university or group that uses Qyskul (“the school”, “you”). By creating or using a school account you agree to them on the school's behalf, and confirm you are allowed to. People who use Qyskul through a school (staff, parents, students) use it under their school's account and rules.
2. The service
Qyskul is software for running a school: records, attendance, results, fees, communication and the other features on your plan. We may improve and change features over time. If we remove something important to your plan, we will tell you first.
3. Accounts and access
- The school's owner manages the account and decides who gets access and with what role.
- Everyone must keep their password private. Tell us at once if you think an account has been misused.
- You are responsible for what happens under your school's account, including the roles you give.
4. Plans, prices and payment
- Prices are per active student, per term or semester, with a minimum per plan, as shown on our pricing page. A student is active if their record is Active at the start of the term.
- Your first term or semester is free. After it, you choose a plan and pay before each term. Paying for the whole year in advance earns 10% off.
- There is no long contract: you can stop at the end of any term. Payments already made for a term are not refunded.
- If a term isn't paid, we may pause the school's access until it is. Pausing does not delete your data.
- Prices may change; we will give you notice before a change affects your next term.
5. Online fee payments
When a school turns on online payments, parents pay through Paystack and the money settles into the school's own bank account. We never hold the school's money. Paystack's own terms apply, and any service charge is shown in the app before you turn payments on.
6. Your school's data
- The records you put into Qyskul belong to the school. We use them only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy policy.
- You are responsible for having the right to collect the data you keep, including the consent of parents or guardians where the law requires it, and for keeping it accurate.
- When you leave, you can ask us for a copy of your records. We delete them within a reasonable period afterwards, unless the law requires us to keep them.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use Qyskul for anything unlawful, or to harm or harass anyone;
- send spam or messages people haven't agreed to receive;
- try to get into accounts, schools or systems you aren't allowed to, or test our security without our written permission;
- copy, resell or reverse-engineer Qyskul, or overload it on purpose.
We may suspend access that breaks these rules or puts others at risk, and will tell you why.
8. Support and availability
We work to keep Qyskul available and fast, and fix problems quickly, but we can't promise it will never be interrupted, for example during maintenance or when an internet or power provider fails. Support is included on every plan; Pro adds priority support, and Enterprise can include an agreed service level in a separate agreement.
9. Liability
Qyskul is provided with reasonable care and skill. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits or data you could have restored, and our total liability for a claim is limited to what the school paid us in the 12 months before it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
10. Ending the agreement
You can stop using Qyskul at the end of any term. We may end the agreement if you seriously break these terms and don't put it right within 14 days of our notice, or straight away where the law requires it.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We will first try to settle any disagreement by talking to you; if we can't, the courts of Nigeria will decide it.
